I work with many small business owners who have to manage everything within their business themselves. If it is just you, how do you find the time to do everything and grow your business too? Sometimes it is useful to get an outside perspective and with all the uncertainty this might be the right time for you to look for a mentor or a consultant, someone who has been there before and can provide you with advice, guidance and support.

How could a business consultant help you during this time?

An experienced consultant will draw from their own experience and help guide you through the challenges you may face, help you to put plans in place to mitigate the risks and provide a sounding board for new ideas. I set up my first business at the peak of the 2008 financial crash, so I am very aware of the kind of challenges many business owners are going to face in the looming recession. I would draw on my experience to provide insight into how best navigate the forthcoming times and still come out the other side with a strong business.

Planning

Do you need to refocus your efforts? Are you just managing the day to day and are not in a position to be able to put future plans in place? A good long-term strategy will give you a strong aim, with short term and manageable goals to achieve along the way.

Manpower

I can also help with the delivery. Some tasks we just don’t have the time for or maybe we lack the correct skills needed in order to get the desired results. When our resource is limited, we don’t always see the benefit of outsourcing, but it can be the difference between success and failure. If you had someone managing your finances, your recruitment and marketing, your time would be freed up to increase sales and give you the opportunity to grow your business. Backup

You have ideas but you are not sure that they are quite right, as a consultant I can help you in a 1-2-1 session where you then feel confident that the next steps are right for you and your business. Two heads are better than one.
