My Story.
I’m Hayley Koseoglu. My surname is Turkish… most people just call me Hayley K.
Born in Devon, I was raised in an ex-mining village in Derbyshire. I’m married and have two children.
I found my entrepreneurial spirit at a young age. People say that my business achievements are huge and yes, I have experienced a lot but, do you know what, it’s been hard work and not plain sailing.
One of my strengths has always been knowing what I want. I’ve tried to always stay focussed on my goals and that approach to life has paid off.
It’s paid off to the point that I can now help other business owners reach their goals too.
All that being said, you need to know, I’m still the down to earth person I always was. A spade is a spade.
You can tell me anything, I won’t be shocked.
My first business…
Hard work pays off….I set up my first business, Crystal Clean Service back in December 2007 when I was 18, working from my bedroom. Within 6 months the business went limited due to turnover and I was recruiting the first members of my team. 15 years on I now sit on the Board of Directors, advising on strategy and growth.
With over 100 members of staff, Crystal Clean is one of the leading commercial cleaning companies in South Yorkshire and continues to expand.
Sometimes I pinch myself, still to this day, about how successful the company is.
But it was not a straightforward journey.
I went through The Juggle Struggle in years two and three – not that I realised that until year four (with 11 employees)!
I tried to work with a coach, but soon realised I had more experience running a business than he did.
My initial accountant/business advisor only saw a young girl and was so patronising I just couldn’t work with them.
Day by day, week by week, I figured out what worked, how to strengthen the business, and how to scale.
Gradually, as things improved, I was needed less and less. I stepped out of the business fully to sit on the Board in 2019.
I have to admit, I enjoy my strategic role with the company now probably more than I did when I was working in the business day in, day out. And that’s down to my own professional growth, development, and experience.

But, what next?
Out of nowhere… My first consultancy client
Eight years or so ago, I was asked by a recruitment company to help them. They were struggling to move forward.
I used my experience to set up systems and processes across all of their teams and departments which resulted in a huge, positive impact on both their productivity and profitability.
To be honest I was shocked at how easily I could see exactly what another company needed to do to improve and make them successful. It came naturally.
The transformation they saw after following my advice was amazing.I got the excitement and fire in my belly that I had when I was building Crystal Clean… consulting was where I was meant to be!
In 2017 I began working with numerous companies within the Sheffield City Region as a consultant. My highlighted passion for helping businesses grow and overcome obstacles became my focus and iekos came into existence.
I make no bones about the fact I am a consultant.
I am not going to coach my clients, telling them that the answers are already within them! I know what works and what doesn’t. I know that every business is different and generic advice is rarely appropriate.
I also know that YOU are unique and so the way you wish to run and develop your business will also be different to the next.
You see I have experienced all the highs and lows of being a business owner in multiple businesses.
I understand how your business changes and develops, as you yourself do, over time.
How your business operates, and your personal outlook, will be very different in your start-up phase to how it is 6 years in!
I get it. I have a knack of understanding business owners’ visions, goals, and approaches to their companies and so I can provide valuable advice that will make a difference almost immediately…….I know I can help you.

Real-life results
Why iekos?
It stands for Improving Efficiency using Key Operational Systems… but it’s also a derivative of my two children’s’ names.
It embodies what I achieve as a business consultant – improvements, changes, and growth.
And, it’s a little different and people remember it!
